I have to say this trip sofar has EXCEEDED the SS Member 2003 Cruise, and that's a hard thing for me to say.

Now, to rewind to yesterday, We left WDW pretty early, had a quick McD's breakfast and headed to the port where we got in a little early. We get out first look of the cruise to come!

They are ready for people who showed up early, they staged us in line in the Vendor Lot until they were ready to start accepting dropoffs/parking. This part was so painless, I recommend getting over early. First of all we had an improptu mini meet in the parking lot.
Parking Lot Meet

The next step is at 10:30, they file us single file in after checking our ID twice, pulling thru the fence to dropoff our passengers/luggage right at the terminal building, then we get to park in that inner lot right next to the terminal! Right now $10 a day to park there, cash or Visa/MC accepted. Then we go in, check in, get a very special packet with 1 new lanyard each, vouchers for a special pin, and other special event info. Of course the whole terminal is again decorated for our cruise with the logo and Welcome Home everyplace. We board, and immediatle se a wonderful decoration with today's theme of 'Past' Disney right there with MMC Mickey!
Atrium Ice Carving

Next is the Welcome Home Buffet, Italian.

After that and chatting with some of our Dis friends who joined us for lunch, we go to our cabin where we are overwhelmed at the gifts going on. Besides the Cruise logoed merchandise we ordered(2 tees, 2 polos, and an excursion bag), we find two things of overwhelming merit.

One, we have been invited to a VERY special dinner in Palo, With Jim Lewis, VP of DVC and Christopher White, 2005 WDW Ambassador. Will report more on that later.
Two, We get the first of the swag, and boy, is it! Every person, adult or child got one of these gift bags in their cabin!!
Inroom Gifts
l-r, one basket still wrapped, b/w Mickey sketchbook with pencils, windup Mickey alarm clock, 'member' Ears, A cool little booklet covering the events to come, and nice zippered box good for magazines or such and an extra large DVC canvas Member bag, with zippered pockets and such inside, VERY nice!

Three o'clock and time for the second DIS meet! This was the bigger one and a lot of fun as not only were more buttons given out, but there was also these AWESOME pillowcases for the kids provided by HookdonWDW, Tiaras and crowns for the 'fantasy' night provided by CGCW, and more cool ctuff, but that was only the beginning.
Deck 10 Meet

After the meet was the usual fire drill, then the sailaway party, and off we went to have our first dinner onboard. There is, as always excellent food and service. There was a showing of Golden Mickeys after dinner, but Mary and I have seen it so we instead delivered to their cabins buttons for those who missed the meets(about 10 packages), and called it a night as it was an AWESOME day.
